I'm a Canadian student who's in her mid-twenties. I have a deep love of language, a passion for reading, and an enjoyment of cooking and cookware that's probably passed the point of decency. Most of my evenings are spent at home on the computer rather than out on the town, though when the weekends aren't snow-shrouded, you can usually find me wandering through whatever city I'm currently living in, exploring and enjoying.

Used book stores can keep my attention for hours.

I like collecting odd bits of knowledge, even if they're not things I think will ever come in useful. I enjoy handicrafts, particularly knitting and sewing, and someday I'd like to get into woodworking again. I think it's a damn shame when it comes to that stuff that so much of what was known and practiced is being commercialized, industrialized, and forgotten.

Cans belong in the recycling, not in the garbage.

I play video games, mostly RPGs and mostly on console. I read both comics and manga, and I watch quite a bit of anime. I find fanfiction highly enjoyable, both reading and writing, though I do far more of the former than the latter (and both that and general fandom love are far more likely to appear over at ranith than they are here, anyway).

I've been to England, Wales, Japan, and have travelled by car and campgrounds to both the east and west of my own country, but the hills of Southern Ontario will always be home.

I think the closest I've come to religious leanings these days is a warm appreciation for the Tao Te Ching. In general, I don't believe in damnation, I don't feel a need to be saved, and if life is suffering, I guess I'm something of a masochist.
